Neighbours is Back!

Ask a Question

I just heard on the Radio is that Neighhours is coming back - after the last episode that was aired recently.

Do you think it should come back or sometimes its better to close a show once and for all!

Didn't they try that with Crossroad - that died a second death

What do you think?

My view is leave it where it was left off and start something new and fresh!

I am torn, don’t it make you feel good, especially for you, there are too many broken hearts in the world. With innocent eyes, I should be so lucky, counting down the days.

Golfforall Although it's coming back on Amazon you don't need to be a Prime Member to watch - It will be on "FreeVee" which is Amazon's newish service. Viewers will need to sign up for a FREE Amazon account though.

FreeVee - is funded by adverts - not avoided by paying a Prime subscription.

While amazon have bought it, it looks like it will turn up on the freevee service and you will be able to watch all episodes from the beginning funded by advertising plus of course new episodes. I might watch a few early episodes for nostalgia sake. My suspicious nature makes me think it will be on freevee first but if it turns out to be more of a draw to viewers than they realise it might move to prime down the line. Maybe it will be on prime as a advert free option from the beginning but could move their exclusively later on.

It was Paramount that helped fund the series previously (owner of Channel 5).

BonzoBanana I doubt the intention is to move it to Prime (from Freevee) if they did it would lose them all the very lucrative advertising revenue, as Prime Members still have to watch the adverts when watching FreeVee.

davidstockport If it becomes very popular again then it could motivate people to buy prime which is a fair chunk of money coming in yearly from people. They seem desperate to push prime most of the time, I have to click through a page or two every time I order items for the £20 postage, I get sick of it to be honest. It's relentless.

BonzoBanana Strange but as you were replying I was explaining the strategies Amazon use for promoting their services, they could though be shooting themelves in the foot. I am reluctant to check out prices or items on Amazon as I, and am sure many others, get tired of the number of emails received, sometimes for weeks after, suggesting similar things. (waste of both our time actually, I've usually found what I want cheaper elsewhere).😀

(Currys usually sell Amazon's own products at a lower price).

I absolutely love neighbours and very happy to see it back. It was still a highly popular program let down by TV station so bringing it back and keeping it free can only be a good thing i just hope they cast can return and haven’t already moved on

I had no idea it had ended. It's one of those shows I naively assumed would always be around even though I don't watch it anymore 😆

It should not come back. The lack of viewers explains it all. Thank goodness only subscriptions viewers will be forced to watch it to get their money worth.
