No Prosecution for Parents That Remove Child from School during a Pandemic.

Other

Well I decided to remove mine as of tomorrow. Little one has a stuffy nose tonight. I came across this petition maybe some may won't to sign.

What do you think of this?

I am in full agreement on this. If Boris isn't going to be doing anything to help stop the spread of COVID-19, then it's by time we all stand together on this and take matters into our own hands.

But if thousands of people in the UK end up dying from this disease, then I imagine that Boris will end up being very much hated by the British public. Especially by those who have lost beloved family members to this virus.

I doubt action will be taken against parents who do this. After all, if working parents are being told to stay indoors to minimise risk, then these trips to and from schools ought to be minimised, if not scrapped. The kids won’t miss out on anything special in school during this time

Im in agreement as my sons college refuse to close, and the virus has been discovered quite near our town, in people back from an italian skiing trip, and my son has underlying health conditions.Ditto for other son at uni too πŸ˜₯πŸ™

Just tell the school your kids have flu symptoms...they not going to tell u that still bring the kid in to risk it all.

Ann1984 it is very wrong, but Boris told it needs to spread, that is what they want.

Ann1984 I agree.....I do not even understand why we can not do lock down now....why we wait an other 4 weeks when it will be out of control.

Speaking for myself and probably very selfishly: I would happily self isolate now but feel that I can't without being thought badly of. But no one would suffer if my job shut down, it is a contact centre and I work on the transport side. Ok, kids can't get it, or only mildly, but they can pass it on. I am elderly with underlying health problems and most of our work force are over 60, I feel each day is a risk more I am taking. A couple of us feel the same. I live alone so if I got it I would be left to fight it alone (like thousands of others I might add) as we are now being told not to dial 111, not to go to surgery or hospital so basically left to live or not.

We are being inundated with loads of statistics but nothing about what happens if you actually get it, just how bad will it be. They say most will get it mildly but I am afraid I do not believe that as they talk about nursing the sick and that would suggest an inability to feed or look after yourself. Also when they say so and so has tested positive what does that actually mean, have it or carrying it? Going to get ill or chance it won't develop, these are the questions I want answers to.

Lynibis totally agree no one is saying anything is he trying to reduce number of elderly as he says many will lose loved ones before there time. The numbers are rising day by day

Let's face it Ann1984 the government will save a lot of money if a lot of elderly succumb. No pension, heating allowance, bus pass, hospital and nursing and care home costs. That will help balance what extra they are spending now.

The other question I would like answered are the underlying health problems, what are they and how seriously will they compromise your chance of recovery? So far have only heard them speak of cancer patients and those with asthma. I feel so bad for those who are already fighting serious illnesses.

Thanks everso, that is very helpful. I did have Diabetes 2 but it is now borderline. I have hbp but take meds and doc says they are very low dose so can't be too serious. Also hypothyroidism which compromises the immune system so may have to watch that. Thanks again.
