How Often Do You Buy Clothes?
Ask a Question
I have to admit I do a lot of shopping, but these days I only buy things that are really, really cheap, and preferably from charity shops so I don’t feel that I’m wasting money (and the cheap items are usually better quality, so they last longer)
It depends on what discount/deals are available. Like last week nearly all the stores had leap year discounts. Its hard to say no when you see branded clothes with great savings The last month ive had 4 Hollister hoodies, 2 tshirts, joggers & a long sleeve. A north face gilet, a gym king tshirt, gilet and coat for my son. Ive ordered some stuff from new look for my wife & i ordered my 3rd Vans tshirt today (ive got over 20 now but their my favourite as they dont have tags on the neckline). If im out and about i very rarelt but anything because i know i can get it cheaper online - unless its in a charity shop.
Since gaining lots of weight I no longer enjoy clothes shopping. So it's generally twice a year now summer and winter. However, I really enjoy buying clothes for my grandaughter, especially brands that I would never buy normally but are heavily discounted in sales.
Literally I rarely buy any clothes, I normally go shopping on my birthday with my mom who treats me to new clothes which is obviously only once a year I will only buy other clothes if I need them for something particular like work or holiday!
I only buy clothes when I actually need something. I buy baby clothes more than clothes for me and even then his clothes are second hand. I don't have the room for loads of clothes anyway
rarely for my self when ever i set out to treat myself i always end up in the kids sections or mens lol.
Well, I used to be look for best offers and buy clothes well before I needed but now I shop whenever i need.
I buy clothes fairly often. I probably buy at least a couple of items a month. Nothing expensive I shop cheaply & take advantage of offers. I also often pick things up in charity shops. In my defense I do also sell / give to charity any items I no longer want fairly often too.
Me too! I’ve started looking around charity shops as you can get some really nice clothes. I tend to only shop on the high street in January and after my birthday. I am 40 but I still get birthday money lol
Lol you’re never too old to get birthday money Always good to be given seed money for a treat
I don't really but clothes unless I need to replace something. But if I see a good offer may buy something and put it away until I need it. Quite happy to browse charity shops too and had picked up some good buys.
Haha my husband would say I shop too often! In fact I would say weekly but that includes buying for him too.
Pretty much never. I get clothes for christmas and birthdays from family and that keeps me going. I hate clothes shopping. I've got enough clothes.
*sigh* whenever there's a sale on! I have a bit of a problem! Nah, I'm not that bad anymore - tend to be able to resist a lot more than I used to.
Mainly when I see a really good deal for my clothes or if they're falling to bits lol. If it's for someone else I'll try and find it at the best price I can before I get it
I don't do brand names far too expensive for such a tiny label!! I buy as needed, unless there's a good sale on. Recently got 2 winter jumpers, nightie and 4 summer tops in M & Co for £20 and a unworn wool M & S coat in charity shop sale for £3.99
Personally I think you should spend money wisely buying cheap quality clothing buy my son always asking me to buy expensive clothes
I guess when you’re young, image is everything. I wish I never bought some of the things I did when I was younger, as some things cost way more than I’d be willing to pay now. Mind you, those items have lasted, and I do still wear sone of the items now and again, so you could say it was money well spent lol
Crikey last time i bought anything clothes wise was about 10 years ago a pair of socks in Primark i think it was haha
Nuts but true clothes shopping is not a man thing where i come from i just wear all my dads old clothes saves cash!
Yes hand me downs are the way to go - good for the pockets, great for the planet, and you’re probably on trend with genuine retro clothing
hspexy Dunno bout that my dad was a top scratch golfer so my fluorescent Green and Pink v-neck sweaters and tartan golf trousers make me look rather ahem unusual in Asda and Home Bargains - i wouldnt say retro more Jethro haha
Loads of Pringle, Titleist and Gleneagles stuff so makes me look like I am pukka...until they see the Robin Reliant three wheeler in the car park!
