How Often Do You Buy New Towels?

Ask a Question

When is the last time you bought towels?

I just realised I haven't had new ones since we got married almost 10 years ago now, maybe I should lol?

My towels are between 8 and 16 years old. I have some that I got given from my mum because she no longer needed them and they are about 20 years old. If they still work then why replace them.

SamGoodship unless it has loads of holes in it and it isn't doing its job anymore, I don't see the point in buying new towels all the time.

My wife changes them quite often if Asda has a sale on lol but me personally, I use my mum's towels she got me when I got my first flat, so I've had them 34 years, they are as rough as sandpaper but I won't use anything else

we still have a couple from our wedding list - 24 years ago, but occasional buy new ones - Tesco have had a few decent bundles last year at a very good price - you can never have too many towels!

We bought a whole load of new towels in our last house, all sizes. We bought so many that I don't expect to ever buy any more ever again as so many of them haven't been used yet

I buy towels as when I need them. Some are over 10 years old- tbh they are more the bath towels, it’s the hand towels that I replace more often

I haven’t bought any towels in ages, maybe 20 years. Bought quality thick ones and before the high rise in electricity I used to tumble them just for 20 minutes using tumble balls.

I only replace if they are trashed. Some are best part of 40 years old. If they are broke why change

Some of the quality of new towels do not absorb the water. So iam sticking with my 15 year ones.

I always tumble dry my towels so they are fluffy and when it gets to the point that they are not longer fluffy, I will buy new ones but I find they last lots of years, I normally buy Egyptian cotton or heavy cotton and I’m currently on about 15-20 years on the bath sheets

About 9 years ago but as I live on my own they don't get the wear if my family was still here plus I often change the towels I'm using

When they’re worn out or when I change the bathroom colour scheme, so about every 15 to 20 years. 😆 And the old towels get donated to an animal rehoming charity for bedding.
