How often do you buy things from charity shops? Do you think there is any stigma buying used things from there?

I buy alot from charity shops. Our high street has more of these than every day shops. Ive had some great finds. Branded items too. But since using L Deals i know where to go for bargains . I dont think there is a stigma as lot of folks buy 2 nd hand on facebook too. I got a solid silver Links of london bracelt for £5.99. Retail is near £150 i think. Didnt realise till i got home.

We have a community charity shop in our village where all the profits are given back by way of grants for various organisations such as the Playgroup, Bowling Green etc so it’s lovely to support it. Having said that I’ve always loved a good trawl through charity shops nothing like the thrill of getting a bargain.

I had a friend who would never step foot in them though, she would actually stand outside & wait rather than come in.......then she’d go home & buy clothes on eBay?! I never could understand that!! X

Not often, I go into the local charity shops but will only buy something if I actually need it. I don't see anything wrong with buying second hand. The items are in good condition and there are things, such as certain baby items where it makes sense to buy them second hand.

I buy all the timed as I love browsing and it is environmentally friendly, helps others and helps me manage on a budget. just snobbery to not use them I think.

I try to buy from charity shops over other shops such as New Look and river island, I buy on a monthly basis.

I love browsing around charity shops when I have the time. When I went to Aberdeen a few years ago, they had about 37 charity shops around the city. Image

I use to shop in them alot but not so much now. I've find them very overpriced and the quality of items in the shop can be very poor.

It depends whats in, its always good to browse through them and can get quite a few things, my sister loves going for clothing finding both nike and Adidas at a fraction of what it would cost new. As long as the stuff isnt broken stained dirty ect whats the harm in second hand

I like a browse for the kids stuff, especially for nursery and things, but yeah some of them are over priced for what they are my local Salvation Army is really cheap though compared to the British Heart Foundation, they can be a bit pricey.
