If you give someone a purse u should put money in. It will not bring good luck, but it should bring more money.....but I always like to choose a nice purse for myself.

Yeah when you buy someone a purse you should put money in it I normally put in a shiny £2 or new fiver x

I agree you should put a coin in a purse when you give someone one as it brings good fortune

the last time I was given a purse as a present there was a fiver in it.

i was told a silver coin .. so im tight i put a 5p in it haha ... im not giving um a fiver as well as a new purse coz i always spend quite a bit on purses as i think u need a good quality one why its got ur money etc in x

lol not heard that one before, but makes sense - I'm sure there is something similar in my culture! there was one time I bought a new handbag and found 50p in it...still waiting for the luck!
