Once-in-Century Solar Superstorm Could Plunge World into Internet Apocalypse,

In the News

Just what we need to hear on top of everything else going on in the world

But how much of this is just scaremongery, remember 1999 when the experts sad when the clocks hit the year 2000 there would be havoc with electronics and pcs, and planes would be falling from the sky, it never happened

Brings to mind a Lennon Line." Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.

It’s a very interesting read. How will society cope without their phones and posting countless selfies?

(Before they started showing Hollywood films) I went to an IMAX cinema to see a related documentary on this subject, Solarmax. The magnetic poles of the Sun reverse 'every 11 years', which causes much more powerful than normal solar flares. There is a risk satellites could be knocked out during this phase.

Thats the problem A , solar flares have been behaving this way for millions of years , but its only within the last 100 years that it has affected us, with the advent of technology
