One Year since Lockdown - Did You Know about the One Minute Silence?
Ask a Question
I thought I was relatively well informed, check the BBC News everyday, so I was shocked that the 1st I knew about this was at 13:00 today when I was looking at the Metro and saw this story. Am I the only one ?
First i knew about it was on the radio this morning. cant recall anything on the tv news last night
I heard about it on the radio today, after it had happened. I check the news every morning, but saw no mention of it anywhere.
Hi I didn’t hear about it until reading your chat. There’s nothing to celebrate but I could justify it if to honour all those who have died.
I glad I am not the only one, there was definitely a lack of media coverage, especially when you compare it to the clap for the NHS. I would have shown my respect for those who had died with a minute silence.
beccatavender I'm glad you posted this chat, when I heard about it on the radio, after it had happened, I felt bad for not participating, but it seems quite a few people didn't know about it.
Nope, first I knew of it was when I checked BBC website at lunchtime. I just missed it. I watched last nights news & it wasnt mentioned unless I'd tuned out.
Ooh so that's why the bells were ringing today I sensed something was up so I just stopped what I was doing not to be disrespectful but I didn't have any idea it was to do with covid.. I don't think anyone else knew either ? as they carried on walking/doing stuff
I found out this morning they talked about it on radio but didn't think it was well publised
