What is Your Opinion on Fireworks?
Other
I personally don't mind fireworks as long as they aren't after midnight, but I do feel sorry for animals and people who are prone to panic attacks. Also, some of the wrong people are getting hold of them. Those such as people who use fireworks to abuse animals and those who are just generally idiots.
I have a farm. And also around me the others are farmers to. So we do not get fireworks. So we are lucky. I do like not like fireworks. I suffer very badly with panic attacks. So I am like the animals. Last year there was a lot of horses had firerockers up there back side. Some die some had to be put down. And some lived but were never the same again. So this year I am hope and praying it dos not happing again. The people were never caught. They got a away with it. I know owners are spending the night with there hoses. So the same dos not happen again. Eddie the goose say hi.
Please tell Eddie I said hi back.
That is really sad what you told me about the horses. I could never comprehend why people enjoy torturing animals. What do they get out of doing it?
Never liked fireworks very much but the weak ones are just downright depressing because normally, fireworks are intended to make big bangs and even shake the ground a bit. I've heard some fireworks that actually got me seriously worried but it was just fireworks, after all.
I don't mind them as they do look quite pretty. My dog doesn't like the noise of them, so needs to be reassured that she is ok and that they can't hurt her as she is inside and they are outside. I can never understand the people that use them to abuse animals, just not right.
Sick of hearing them! Bang bang bang for the last couple of weeks and tonight while trying to watch tv or read. Ok, one night a year....fine. Loads of nights.....not fine.
I like big firework displays, but the crowds can be a nightmare when everyone is leaving at the same time. If you want a good position you also need to get there early as well. I went to the London New Year's Fireworks display a few years ago (I won tickets) and was positioned directly opposite the London Eye It was very impressive, albeit fairly short. If I watch it again I'd probably go to Primrose Hill or Parliament Hill.
