Are People Asking
Ask a Question
Are people asking questions, for the sake of it, just to get 20 points? lol do make it interesting, really not into what should you have for tea questions.
I think its 20 points. It depends if anyone replies. I tend not to ask questions as mine don't really get any replies I think its 20 points to start with then it goes up if a certain amount of people reply. To be honest the point system here has changed several times since I joined in 2017 and I can't keep up with the changes and what you get for what. Back in the day it seemed like we used to get more points. More and more people complained about people trying to get points and wanted the points decreased and as a result these went down. I just hope the points are not taken away before I drag my butt to the next voucher level. I won't be happy if they vanish before I hit 55,000.
Sanitation1234 ShellyAnn I am sorry you are all wrong. It is 20 points for posting a topic and that is it at the moment, no matter how many replies you get. It may change at some point.
DannySpeed there are many comments regarding the quality of chat and no one likes the this v. that questions or the type you describe, it makes for a dull chat section. It sometimes seems people don't even read or reply on their own topics. Many others just read the topic and add a comment without reading any of the previous ones, that's not how conversation works. Anyway you won't stop it if comments means earning points.
Yes you are right it is 20...
TBH I posted this tongue in cheek, but, the standard of chat IS getting a bit ... meh...
And loads are just not looking as you say, repeating topics over and over
DannySpeed this was posted nearly a year ago.

I have been surprised, lately, just how many new members are putting up poor quality topics for chat. By that, I mean asking questions that could be answered with a google search or putting up a topic that is a 'this or that'/'versus'. Chat topic = 20 points. The most irritating thing is when a chat topic is left for everyone else to comment on with absolutely no response from the poster. I believe the points should be taken away if the poster can't be bothered to interact with the other members who took the time to join in. Just my opinion.
I think so too, a conversation is a conversation and it should be friendly, and a two way thing.
One topic which has been done to death now and is beginning to grate on me a little are the "dog vs cat" threads. I have been noticing that around every 3 months or so (or even less) someone starts a new thread entitled "dogs vs/or cats". Seriously, please think of something more original.
Well, seems the community has gotten more active than previously so that's a good thing. Users on HUKD have somewhat weird discussions and tend to behave like 12 year olds when they see a woman with a bikini.
I fully agree with what you are saying. I am not on Facebook all that much anymore because there's too many posts on there of no importance, lack of worthwhile debates and too much small talk. The LD chat section is unfortunately heading in that same direction.
As for worthwhile debates, I don't mean those mundane ones such as "dogs vs cats", "iPhone vs android" and so on.
RegularComper90 - Facebook has become evil. The nastiness on there now is awful and all you see are idiots being cruel to animals, I want to smack them and then I find out they're someone the other side of the world... it's disgusting.
