does any of u make your own christmas pudding and set it alight with brandy at the table ? i remember going my nanas i was about 6 yrs old and she got the pudding out the oven and everyone clapped ... on the table she put it and told us kids to move back ... this ones for the adults she shouted ... out came a bottle of brandy i remeber it had a cork top so dunno if it was english or wat but cant ever remember brandy having a cork top ..... she threw the brandy all over the pudding n lit a match n put it towards the pudding and the fire light n all the older people clapped i just stood there in awe ... out came a bowl with a ladle n they was all given a piece i was given some of the sauceand that tasted what i know no was sum sort of booze ... x do people still do this now ? x
Yes we still do it, we stopped for a while, but then little Nephews loved the sight of a pudding aflame.
In fact they liked the sight much more than the taste from what I remember.
Oh fab i used to wait for that part of christmas it amazed me n i actually got a piece couple years later .. i was pretending i was drunk haha g
