What do you think of this?

I'm speechless! It does make you wonder what they were thinking! .... and from what you wrote, it's not unusual!? Ugh!

Leannexxx that's what I was wondering too ...a lot of people are volunteers and whether or not they are, no one should be faced with that .... people never cease to amaze me!

What comes to my mind is this: "if you saw this item being sold in a charity shop, would you want yourself or your child to wear it?".

It is common courtesy to wash your clothes first and ensure that they are in a good condition before donating them.

A similar story was on our local news last week. People are leaving black bin bags full of rubbish on the doorsteps of charity shops. Most of the contents just have to be binned and the charity shops have to pay for skips to take it all away. Shameless!

I think some people just use "donating to charity" as an excuse to dump their rubbish. The ladies who work in my local charity shop have told me stories before about all the unusable items they get.

I can't believe people wouldn't wash their clothes before donating them. That's truly awful.

This made me think of my Mum. When she was having a clearout she would say things were ‘too good for the charity shop’.

I used to work in a charity shop too in between jobs, we never got any weird stuff in but once we had a grown man in his 40's try and steal cheap makeup.

Leannexxx didnt think a charity shop would accept used sex toys. Outfits I can understand as they could be put in washer, but sex toys was a deffo no no in the shops I were in.

I'm shocked that people give underwear to charity undermine sex toys. Saying that I have given bras but that was only as part of an appeal.

I always wash anything I give to charity and make sure it's in good condition and assumed most people did the same.
