Perming Your Hair

Does anyone perm their hair anymore? I only know of older people who want to add more volume to their hair doing this, but I did do a double take yesterday when I saw a teen with a full perm - not sure if it’s become fashionable again?
Hi hspexy my hair is to fine to have a perm. In fact it would not stay in. I can't style my hair because it's just to thin. It's all ways been like it. Just wear it in a pony tail. 
hi nicolajaynehend I know what you mean. My hair can’t stay in curls, although my hair is quite thick - a mixture of both thick and fine. I once had my hair professionally curled and it lasted perhaps 2 hours at most lol. So no perm for me
I remember when i had a perm when i was a teenager, it was one of the only times ive seen my father laugh 
a lot of boys have perms these days , short back and sides with curls on top. I havent seen any girls with a proper tight curly perm but i know a lot of people have loose perms that give a loose curl/wavy surfer effect.
Lol I had one as a kid, as my mum had one and got me done too - it was the 80s after all 
hspexy i loved mine when i had it my son wanted one last year but thank god he changed his mind. He looks to solid to have a perm 
Aww god I had a perm done too when I was thirteen in early nineties. I don't know what I was thinking but at the time I thought I looked good.
KirsteyJames lol he may still get one at some stage...and then it will plague him in his adult life when photos of his perm will show up now and again 
gembateman30 lol I believe it was very in fashion at the time, and alot of the famous people had one. But definitely not low maintenance lol
I had a perm last week and have them regularly as my hair is so straight and I hate it unless it has some body to it. I am looking forward to the time when everyone has them, as they did before, just as shoulder pads and leg warmers will return (ha ha ha).
Perms are so much better than they used to be, kinder to your hair and scalp and don't have to give you the granny cauliflower look. Done properly they are excellent
