Am I the Only Person to Have Never Seen a Single Episode of Game of Thrones?
Other
Perhaps I am either living under a rock or I am a bit of an oddball. But I have never seen a single episode of Game Of Thrones and don't intend on doing so at any time soon.
I haven't seen a single episode either! I have seen some short clips from a couple of episodes. My husband loves it and wants me to watch them. I said I would give them a try but won't be anytime soon.
Regularcomper90 I all so have not seen game of thrones. I do not know what it is about. But I would have liked to have seen it. May be it will come out on DVD some time. Would have like to have seen it.
nicolajaynehend it is already out on dvd, the first 7 series anyway. I will wait until they bring the whole 8 series out in one huge box set and then I can watch as much as I like.
I think it is worth giving it a go if you haven't watched as the characters are so well portrayed and you cannot help getting involved. However, I realise that not everyone has the same taste in TV viewing. I am torn between this and Outlander as best ever series but they are too different to even compare.
Lynibis yes I am going to wait UNTILL they are all out on DVD. And come down in price. Which it will do. But I am so looking for ward to it. Thank you for your help.
Never watched it but I do know what it's about and who dies and what not just cos my OH watches it and I like to stay on top of pop culture for quizzes haha
Youre not an oddball hun ive never seen one single episode too.
My good friend loves it so much she made a cosplay throne and actually gets paid to take the throne to events and has had all the cast sign it.
And yet ive never watched it lol x
I won a comp last year of a game of thrones calligraphy set and stamps etc so I was well chuffed. Maybe I should send you all a message by raven telling you how good it is lol!
It's quite common for people to have never watched GOT. The 'one of the few/one of the only people to have never have watched GOT' is getting SO OLD. I too have never watched it. But what's the deal? Get over it?
Anna, the deal is........I really don't care if people haven't watched it, just glad that I have because it is a great series that I have been able to enjoy for many years. I am getting on and live alone so Tv is my main entertainment. When I enjoy something like a film, tv series, new type of confection, a great book, a meal I have tried and loved I will want to recommend to friends and family, and maybe even push it on a chat forum, that is human nature, to share the things we love. However I would not twist anyone's arm.
Never had an interest in Games of Thrones before, but since all the hype about season 8 I started to watch them. Took a very long time to get to Seaon 8 but I will definitely say its worth a watch. It’s pretty good actually especially if you like old styled things like knights and magic
Your comment proves that sometimes it is worth giving something a go. I must admit that I think knights and magic could be misleading. It is more like a power struggle as to who will ultimately rule the 7 kingdoms. A little magic from one sorceress and lots of battles with guys in armour as it is set in a fictional past.
Laughed out loud when I read that a well known boxer had been avidly watching thinking it was real history!
Glad you found it a good watch.
I've seen one episode. I do want to watch it, but I don't have an account with any of the TV providers that screen the episodes. However, I do plan to buy (or better still win) the complete series box set when it's on offer
Nope I’ve never seen it and never want to. Sounds like a right load of old rubbish to me !!
Oh nipperjwb that's like saying you think a meal you have never tried is rubbish lol. If you experience something you can make an informed decision as to whether YOU like it regardless of other's opinions. It may not be your genre, just as I do not like horror films or most comedies and teen romps but have watched enough to know I don't want to watch more!
You know what they say....don't knock it until you've tried it!
nipperjwb my older son and I have similar taste in film/tv and often phone each other for recommendations. But, he has not watched it so that is the opposite of you and your son. Trouble is we have watched nearly everything worth watching but I did suggest he may like The Sinner on netflix. Not my usual viewing fare but I was desperate, ended up quite enjoying it.
It took me until season 6 was out to give it a go. Everyone was talking about it and saying it was amazing. It did take me a few episodes to sort of understand what was going on and get into it but i did really enjoy it. I still havent seen the new series as when i went to watch the first episode my oh decided that she did like the look of it after all and wanted to watch it from the beginning We are half way through season 5 and i cant wait until we get to season 8
A friend lent us his box set but I could only bear watching a few episodes although I was encouraged to see more I really didn’t want to. Maybe it got better but I don’t feel as I’ve missed out and can’t understand the following
Nope, never seen an episode and doubt I ever will either lol.
I just don't have any interest in it whatsoever. However, 90% of people I know absolutely love it.
RegularComper90 you're not alone in this. I haven't either & don't intend to as I don't have any interest in it
I have watched about 1.5 seasons due to a lot of people saying how good it was. I was under the impression before I watched it that it's all about medieval pr0n and dragons, I was not wrong imo. I don't like it but have it a go and a bit of time to show me how good it was. My Mrs on the other hand has not watched and unlikely to do so.
I watched the first series of it and wasn't that impressed and like many others played catch up when everyone raved about it being so good. Different strokes for different folk and that's healthy. Rebel Wilson boasted quite proudly that she had never watched an episode of Friends but in her case I think she missed some clever comedy.
Wow. I really was beginning to think that I was alone on this. Thank you all for your comments. It was great reading them all.
me neither. have not seen and never ever will, my wife is the same absolutely zero interest in it.. we prefer crime dramas like Blacklist, Blindspot, Line of Duty, Criminal Minds, Luther etc
arussell322 Similar tastes - sad to see Blacklist finished for the time being, loved Line of Duty, Luther, gave up on Blindspot because I felt they were re-hashing ideas, Killing Eve, Lucifer and really pleased that Elementary has returned. (quirky but a little different from the usual) GOT got to me in the end though and I had to watch.
angemski yes i hope Blacklist is back for another season i love James Spader in it, Blindpsot is my wifes favourite i would agree that its short on new ideas, i wont be sad if this season is the last lol.. i will have a look at Killing Eve and Elementary, tried Lucifer but didnt take to it
arussell322 Since Netflix has taken over Lucifer it's a little bit more.......lively.
