A problem I have is when you buy a surprise present for someone in household then you get lots of advertisements from them which can be seen by all. Can I stop them I've noticed them pop up on other laptops in house too.
I use the opera browser and don't actually get ads, I get them on Google so I tend to give that a miss.
Installing an AdBlocker on all devices might help, that of course won't stop emails, but emails should be going to the buyer's own email account, so shouldn't be visible to others.
The AdBlocker you choose will probably depend on the browesr you use, I'm on Firefox (most of the time) and use AdBlock Plus. (totally free).
I just block them with my VPN's Adblocker, or rather watch from a different country. When you prefer ads from a different country, then you know yours are bad. lol
I have this problem too but with social media. Targeted ads are always coming up on Facebook and Instagram!
If you use an incognito browser this should prevent this, although I’m not 100% certain
Use an ad blocker or Tor browser . If you run ccleaner everyday it'll get rid of all your cookies
