Do You Take Your Pets to a Salon?
Ask a Question
I don’t think I would even if I had the money, but I would imagine there are some breeds you’d want a professional to deal with
I took my shiz tue to the groomers for the first 4 years and it was every 6 weeks which would cost £30 a time
Then I decided to try myself first trys I was ashamed to take her out but the last 10 years I have got better and saved a fortune
I’m lucky that I have two dogs who are very low maintenance in terms of grooming.. they need to be washed with shampoo once or twice a year and that’s it, and I do that myself at home. The rest of the time I take them swimming in fresh water lochs in the summer to give their fur a clean out.
Lol you’re right, pets do cost a fortune! Especially if you get one that needs grooming, and sometimes only the professionals will do
I wouldn’t take my pets to a salon. I’m sure I could trim them neatly if need to. I could use my husbands hair clippers, he would be willing to share them rather than pay £50.
I clean my dogs teeth, trim her nails, give her a bath etc myself. I love doing it so I've never seen the need to take her to a groomers. I think if she had fur that needed trimming I would consider it
I have a a Jack Russell so he just generally needs a bath every couple months, rarely needs nails trimmed. If I had a dog with longer fur that needed cutting I would just learn to do myself.
no, it is not necessary. If your pet is some kind of instagram star, then sure, it is something you might do as it will get a following. But normal pets don't need it
