Phew Moments
Ask a Question
We've all had those phew moments my recent one was when my watch took a good washing in the washing machine.. I must've forgot to check any pockets .. but thankfully although my watch was not waterproof- it survived! and is still doing its job and once it happened with some 10 pound notes... Thank God they were the newer waterproof ones
Anything similar happen to you ??
I had a courtesy car when my one was in the garage, the morning they were coming to pick it up I dropped the keys when I went to open the door in the town Centre and they fell straight down a drain. A friend of mines mum stayed near buy and thankfully in a joint effort we managed to lift the cover and retrieve the keys. Thankfully our drains donβt get cleared often so it was choked up or they would have been gone forever. I managed to get home with a half an hour to spare before they arrived to collect the car.PHEW
heatherduthie omG heather I can imagine your panic at the time but well done to you and your friend for managing to get it out the drain
I found some leaves in my sons school pants pockets when ironing yesterday.
Biggest phew moment I has was last year my son started messing in trolley his forward flip and his dad caught him
Once washed my work trousers with my weeks wages in cash in the pocket they were fine once dried
Mine was when I was trolling on an adult website ( you know ) and my family came in my room to surprise me on my 65th , I just managed to close the laptop lid .. Phew !!!
We were going to have a meeting of our church on Zoom. Up to the last minute, a family member couldn't get it working on her PC. I anticipated spending half the meeting time getting it working on my cell phone but it worked perfectly in about 10 seconds flat. So the evening was saved.
Whenever Iβm rushing to catch the bus or the train, especially the latter if I am doing a transfer
I gave an expensive phone to my friend to borrow for the day but she had lost it. It fell out her pocket. I was so relieved when we Re-traced her steps and found it under a car
Nadiaparveen I was very upset, it was hard not to panic but I knew if I didn't act quickly to try and find it then my phone would be stolen. I was very lucky I found it
Was on the way to a shopping centre a few miles away in my little old Ford Fiesta. The petrol gauge was in the red and virtually on the bottom line. I planned to go into a petrol station half way. Arrived there only to find I'd bought out the set of keys that didn't have the key to the petrol cap!
Managed to drive home to get the keys, whilst the gauge had gone underneath the red bottom line! Luckily I live on a hill and a petrol station is at the bottom of that hill as the engine started stuttering just as I'd arrived there... Phew!
A bit of a kid hears too much oops. My then 6 year old daughter was watching the Simpsons and just blurted out "what's a Virgin?" My husband without missing a beat says "Richard Branson's company"
Taking the trash out this morning. Phew, a little bit of fresh air after being inside a lot recently in an attempt not to catch the virus.
