Photo Collage Help

I am not technically minded at all so I was hoping someone could help me out! My son is 18 in June & I would love to put lots of photos of him throughout the years to a song, like a little video of him growing up. Only I don't have the first clue how to! Does anyone know a fool proof way to achieve this? Thank you for any help, I really am clueless 
you can do it in Windows Movie Maker, it is free and u can download it to your computer. Also it is the easiest to use, you can put each picture into timeline and set them for a certain time, because one picture flashes way to fast, to see it in a movie, video it needs to be repeated. In this program also easy to put music under the video and you can easily add effects....
