Dear fellow bargain hunters,
I would like to ask you what is the longest period you have not received mail- free samples or letters? It's been a couple of weeks and I am somehow worried about my post 
over a year ago

Sometimes or even a lot, you don't get those promised free samples at all but rather it's for collecting data and then selling it. If that's something that concerns you, use a fake/secondary email but you'd still need to provide an address if it'd get sent out.
