What to Do in a Power Cut ???

Several villages including mine have had a power cut tonight and people have gone in to melt down 
Mines back on so I’ve been delivering candles and filling flasks with boiled water for family in the next village and have picked my petrified granddaughter up to stay at mine for the night.
when I was little I used to love power cuts I thought they were exciting !!!
Maybe this is me doing a back in the good ole days thing !!

Glad your power is back on. Have been very lucky, can't remember last time we had a power cut.

nipperjwb It does seem wasteful not to eat roadkill - it's also a bit like "getting even" if it dented the front of your car.
I suppose power cuts (I used to get them regularly) aren't too bad if you've got gas and electricity. Unless you've got gas central heating that usually requires a power supply. That's one reason why I won't have central heating - another reason is that (it happened to my sister) some central heating systems with condenser boilers won't work if it's TOO COLD. (that could only happen in the UK
