Do You Prefer Tea or Coffee?
Ask a Question
I drink a lot of tea and coffee but when at other people’s houses I always pick tea. I find that I am quite fuzzy about the way that coffee is made, but tea always seems to taste good. On the other hand in a cafe I would always order coffee.
What do you prefer?
Wow you sound very healthy. Not a fan of green tea. But my husband loves it and drinks buckets of it.
Wow that is very detailed. It sounds like something happened in 1988. I hope that the same doesn‘t happen to coffee.
Drank tea all my life till I reached my 50s now I carnt stand it and only drink coffee even if I go family I take my own saches
dawarwick I think that’s a bit like me, but I do sometimes like a coffee after a meal in a restaurant.
I am part of the minority who likes neither. I only ever have cold soft drinks and the occasional hot chocolate.
I like them both but rarely drink them. I did get hot chocolate from Costa's today after a few months ..was really nice
Nadiaparveen oh wow I had my first Starbucks this week too. I have missed them. But have saved loads of money.
Coffee, coffee, coffee!! I could not start my day without it, especially now when I’m home schooling
mso I know what you mean. If it is a bad day I need 2 or 3 to get moving. Keep going it will soon be the summer holidays.
Tea always. I used to work as a barista when I was much younger and really don't like the smell of coffee even now
KirstyWhit29673 so it is just the smell that puts you off. Although I guess smell is part of taste.
RuthWardell404 the smell puts me off but it’s m the occasions I have got past that to try it I didn’t like it either
I like tea and coffee but my preference is tea most of the time. I will have a coffee mid morning and I always choose coffee at other people's houses as I like my tea a particular way and most people can't make it as I like it (I must be too fussy?!)
tumblespots I think the same but about coffee. Some coffee I just really don’t like.
At home I always start the day with tea and have a coffee mid morning, then finish the day with a cup of tea.
At friends houses I usually have a coffee as pretty fussy with how my tea is made.
I realised after i was very ill at xmas, that it could indeed have been covid19 as i couldn't taste the dinner my sons made, and i still can't taste some things properly including tea, (before i was a huge tea drinker) now i find i prefer filter coffee, or coffee bags probably as it tastes stronger.tea is almost tasteless to me now, even if i make it strong.
Caz2 oh no, that’s horrible. I hope it hasn’t stopped you liking other things. Hope you are all better now.
The smell of tea has never appealed to me.. I think it smells disgusting and don’t know why it’s such a popular beverage! I love coffee and have drank it for many years... I’ve definitely become more fussy about the brand though and I think it’s the only product I’m a snob about
sarahgreen15 everyone like different things. And it sounds like you really know what you like.
I prefer Iced tea and coffee and only warm coffee not tea. It depends on the weather really
belleshowsdogs yes I agree if it is a really hot day I don’t like drinking hot drinks.
Only drink tea and with hardly any milk, tea bag first always, then the milk. Two sugars unless its in my extra large mug then I need Three
At different times I also switch my preference. In cafes etc I prefer coffee. I hate paying for tea as I can't really tell the difference from cheap tea I make at home but coffee varies a lot. If I'm half asleep in the morning it has to be coffee.
Tea - in particular what my mum makes. She doesn’t do anything special but the tea seems to taste better when she makes it!
