Primark Trialling Click & Collect In 25 Stores

In the News

After the success of the Primark online stock checker earlier this year, Primark have just announced they are going to be trialling a click and collect service in 25 stores a bit later on this year!

There is going to be mix of stores including large city centre and out-of-town stores to smaller high street locations.

Personally, this will be great for me as my little boy is Stitch crazy and we can never get the stuff but it appears 3 times the price on ebay so if they do click and collect will be a lot smoother as I do find the shops a bit of a jumble sale and I can never find what I want!

Primark say the trial will offer customers the opportunity to shop an extended kids’ range – spanning everything from clothing and accessories, to decorative nursery products and toys – and will also include hundreds of items exclusive to Click + Collect.

The launch will mark the first time that Primark has offered customers the option to buy online and then collect in store. Around 2,000 products will be made available to click and collect - including around 800 that will be exclusive to click & collect.

Customers will be able to browse the range on the Primark website, choose their preferred collection day and then collect from a dedicated collection point at their nominated store.

I agree about stuff turning up on ebay, its so annoying. I hope they expand it to all stores as the stock checker is helpful but I find it a bit hit and miss when it comes to finding the actual product in store.

I'm surprised there isn't a trial in Scotland. Especially in the large stores in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Our nearest Primark is an hour away so not sure I would use the click and collect function but I think it's a great idea.

Glad it’s here but sadly none in Birmingham very useful as often Primark is big and like a big jumble sale and takes me ages to find an item!

I think that this is a fantastic idea. This will save so much time, hopfully people will get things without paying silly prices on ebay etc

There's retailers who charge a fee for C&C so it's less of an incentive to use that service. Might as well go with delivery or buy in-store.

There's not one near me that is trialing this service but hopefully it will take off and extend to further stores eventually.

click and collect is a start, for them its still getting people through the door but not everybody is able to get out an about so delivery would also allow those customers another shopping option

This will be the end of Primark or at least the cheap prices

Their business model is basically pile it high sell it cheap and also impulse buys. Primark have outlasted many of their competitors by not having an online option and not needing it, it’s expensive and people will return more and will they offer free returns

I hope they change their minds otherwise the Primark we know will change or disappear altogether

That would be an amazing idea. I hope they will continue their click and collect as it is very convenient for many buyers.

Odd that Primark largest story is in Birmingham but conspicuous by it's absence is anywhere in the Midlands.

Unless I am mistaken the list looks all Northern to me. As member Gordon says ‘don’t worry about the South’. Hopefully trial goes well and we will be included.

I'm excited however the Huddersfield store only has kids items for C&C for now - looking forward to when they roll it out into the North East 😊

I noticed in about November last year people were selling loads of primark stuff on eBay etc. I presume they would go in and do a big shop of what seemed popular then sell them at an inflated price. With it being Christmas most stores extend the return times to the end of January. I don’t know whether to think well done - good thinking. Or you robbing bunch of gits !
