Receding Hairline from Ponytails

I had a ponytail phase when I was younger and ALWAYS wore my hair in a tight high ponytail. And now I have barely got any hair left in my temples and a very bad hairline to the point I can't put my hair up anymore.
Does anyone know if its possible to regrow hair fast?
I had a similar issue from always wearing a side parting. So I've started having a middle parting and my hair is very slowly growing back but not as this as the other side. I'm hoping it might just need time
lauren4 ive been told to let my hair down sometimes to stop it pulling so much but I just dont have the time most days
ladybugncatnoir have you thought about trying different ways of putting it up which is softer? Such as a hair clip?
I've noticed this in the last few months. I always wear my hair short with a fringe but since lockdown and not having had it cut for ages, it's so long I'm wearing it tied back and it is definitely receding at the temples!!!
Same here, I never used to tie my hair but being at home I do and temples are looking more sparse
Oh that sounds like a good idea! I gotta invest in some good hair clips because all mine break really quickly

I always have my hair down but it grows very slowly I believe there are products that claim to help
Imnotcheap i used to wear my hair down but i realised mine grows quite fast when tied up. thats how i started with the ponytail obsession
A few people I knew who were having thinning hair issues just shaved their head - they were bald/skinhead for a few weeks, but after that, their hair grew back thicker
hspexy haha thats what my mum taught me to do but im not sure im brave enough to do that!!
ladybugncatnoir lol in fairness, the people I know who did it also signed up to raise money for charity - so it made the decision to do it easier
Im the same, when i were my hair up now i put brown eyeshadow on the patch (i have brown hair) works a treat and no one can tell
