Relaxing after Work
Other
What do you do to relax after a day at work? I like to do the Evening Standard crossword. Writing on a newspaper has a strange relaxing effect on me!
Coffee, biscuits and facebook I can't relax without a coffee. If I've had a really stressful day then I have a long bath too, bliss.
Today was horrible, considering it was my birthday and should have been nice. Very stressful at work, tears, headache etc but once i came home and shut my front door i began to relax starting with a cuppa, visit from granddaughter who listened to my tale of woe and then a long chat with sis. After all that chat things didn't seem so bad!
Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes. Was having a POM day yesterday (Poor Old Me) but am back to normal today. They are very rare and it may have been a psychological reaction to being another year older, and feeling it lol !!!
gaelle0501 Yes, as you get older birthdays do not somehow hold the same excitement, just a reminder that you are nearer the end than the beginning lol. However, I am determined to grow old disgracefully and enjoy as long as I am able and that is something to be thankful for, so many others cannot do so.
Glass of wine , quick scan of LD, catch up on the news headlines and then I start work again - get a lot done in the evenings without interruption. If I am really wound up and I bake bread, you can get a lot of frustrations out on a piece of dough!
"you can get a lot of frustrations out on a piece of dough!" and as my dear old mother used to say "it's good for getting your hands clean too"
davidstockport I bash a lot of heads in that dough!! And a bit of dirt never hurt anyone
Jamala That's hilarious, my husband will say "why's there so much bread in the freezer, is there an apocolypse coming?" "Nope, just a stressful week at work."
