Hi dear thanks for creating this topic just little riddle easy one What has to be broken before you can use it? Ans
Jasmine111 no problem, I love riddles, so hoping people will participate and have some fun sharing riddles . LOL
ch7leach lol that's very true and I have entire conversations in my sleep. Lol
St3v3cunn1961 my sister used to ask me this when we were younger sharing a room. I always said yes and she just laughed saying no your not or you wouldn't have answered lol
mag2022 my sister would keep asking me that until I eventually answered " I was until you woke me !!" . She thought it really funny . Lol
What four word statement can you make that is ALWAYS true.
Answer: "I am a liar".
On the basis that if you weren't a liar - you became one when you said you were
Made that one up many years ago - it usually had to be explained.
davidstockport thanks for sharing that with me , glad you explained it because it’s too early for my brain to start working. LOL
tumblespots I'm guessing "your shadow" although it's not strictly true, as your shadow only follows you when you walk towards the sun, when you walk away from the sun it preceeds you. (you follow it).
davidstockport Yes it was shadow, and, you are right, I should have said 'what goes everywhere with you etc... But you got it anyway
Try this
What can you catch, but not throw?
tumblespots so many things, a bus, a train, a lift, a ride, a plane or your breath Would be a few.
tumblespots You're not going to believe this but just before I read your riddle I had started sneezing (honestly that's true). I think I might have caught a COLD. (well that's one answer that fits)
I was impressed by this I saw on TV a few hours ago:
What letter do you add to this to make it correct?
lX = lV + ll
........(or even lV + ll = lX)
And where do you add it?
I won't give the answer until others have had chance to work it out.
No cheating if you also saw it
davidstockport Here's the answer for anyone who's still scratching their heads. If you got it Well Done! and thanks for not revealing the answer too soon.
The letter to be added is "S" and it should be placed before the lX
SIX = IV + ll
tumblespots It was of course still Mount Everest - got to mention when people say "before it was discovered" I tend to want to ask "Were the people for hundreds of miles around completely blind... or was it hiding?".
Thank you for creating this not to good at riddles myself but there's some good reads here
My first is in speak and also in shout
My second is used as a thousand
My third we couldn't see if without
The whole covers us fully
Although if we were a sheep or a goat
The whole would be rather woolly.
What am I?
Howmuch SKIN is correct. First letter S (obvious) K is used as a thousand (as in £10k etc. - I (pronounced as eye) couldn't see without one. SKIN covers our bodies. Wool grows on the skin of goats and sheep.
(I made it too easy )
Write down eight 8's and get them to add up to one thousand?????
888 + 88 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 1000
What 8 letter word can have a letter taken away and it still makes a word , your can keep taking one letter away until you have only one lette left and each step of the way you will still have a word .
STARTING (takeaway T ) Staring (takeaway A) String (takeaway R) Sting (takeaway T) Sing (takeaway G) Sin (Takeaway S) In , (Takeaway N) left with I
brianmnicholson is 8 your lucky number? I noticed you posted two riddles , both containing the number 8. LOL. They were good riddles though. Thanks for giving my brain a work out .
How can you say three consecutive days without using any of the following words , Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?

Nickyhaslam77 I love a good riddle, thanks for sharing.
I've recently started watching ITV's Riddiculous with my partner, it is so strange that sometimes I get one instantly yet he didn't know and visa versa. Strange how the brain works. The 1% Club contains lots of riddles too, I can't wait for it to be back on.
DeBunny I love riddles too , once they explained to you they are sometimes so obvious, LOL . Like the frog one, it’s better when you speaking that one because you can enhance the other details and sort of speed over the “DEAD in centre of pond “ bit . Lol
St3v3cunn1961 thanks for sharing with us . Another great riddle to keep our minds active. Keep them coming
