Best Way to Treat Scalp Psoriasis?
Ask a Question
anybody know of a good shampoo or cream to treat this, its on back of my scalp just above neck and its so itchy and sore, hoping to get something from the shop rather than another trip to the docs.
Try neutrogena t gel shampoo. My friend has scalp psoriasis and swears by this. Think it's about £5 for 250ml
Try an online application with your gp practice. Just explain your symptoms and say you don’t want to take an appointment unnecessarily and they will issue you with a prescription. I’ve wasted money trying different over the counter shampoo and most of the dandruff ones too but the only one that works is the prescribed shampoo.
Betnavate scalp lotion is fantastic. You have to get it on prescription It burns a bit at first but clears the scalp within a week or so. I also use the Body Shop ginger shampoo which works well for me.
Yeah I have tried plenty of these things and eventually even though I am a psoriasis sufferer the doctor decided it was something else. A cream was prescribed and I have mostly got rid of it. If you know it is psoriasis for sure the the doctor can prescribe something. If you are not 100% sure then get it checked anyway.
ye doctor said was psoriasis it flares up every now and again got prescribed shampoo last time which smells like tar, i going see if chemist will put it on my repeat prescription when they ring this wk, put some cetraben on last night and seemed releave the itching a bit.
