why dont you start one set a smallish budget stick some names in a hat and go for it- the fun is trying to get a cracking present within the budget and who doesnt love an extra gift 😊

Ive done it in previous places and its good fun if people don't ask who you have or try to swap. I usually get a gift set and some chocolate or if this particular person like something like flamingos I'll theme it. We've done silly ones too where i got something rude

its a lovely thing to do as long as everyone enters into it- I usually get people amazing things I once got for example A designer perfume bundle mini sized but with full size body lotion and hair spritz, a benefit bundle and a clarins bundle all Β£10! In return I got a wine stopper and pencil sharpener Christmas cracker worthy πŸ˜† Bless em but there was no thought in that......

Last year when buyagift had Β£15 off with no minimum spend - I got something for Β£1. I got them other stuff too - they definitely got the best gifts. It helps being on deal sites!

OneeyedRaven yeah it was. My gift to them was almost embarrassingly good πŸ˜‚ I pride myself on buying good gifts and getting them at good prices though! Not many others seem to unfortunately.

OneeyedRaven that's a shame. We have an agency worker with us at the moment. We're not doing Secret Santa this year but if we were, we'd have included them if they wanted. I guess it depends how well you all know each other though.

I was in the secret Santa for fat club and the presents were all for under Β£5 so they were never anything to out-do others. One year I received smellies the next year kitchen scales

We did a secret santa at my last work place and I got a lovely yankee candle gift set. We did it within our department and we knew each other really well, so we all got something we liked. We didn't place a price on it but said no more than Β£15 so that no one went overboard.

MrsCraig It really is the thought that counts. One year the BIG boss joined in - think devil wears prada but with more sadistic tendencies and a love of chucking things at you. We were all really nervous about getting them and joked we would be getting a work christmas day for life contract. I was extra nervous as I could tell the Boss didnt like me in particular. Office gossip and turns out they picked me. My gift was a DVD which sounds lame but was a DVD I watched growing up everytime I was 'released' from Hospital- a mini celebration to keep my chin up, and had mentioned it in an off the cuff comment at a team meeting many month before. I genuinely got a little teary and changed my view of them.

OneeyedRaven I agree, I think it is nice whenever someone spends their hard earned money on you, no matter how much they spent.

Aww that is such a lovely present and shows that they listen and pay attention.

My work did Secret Santa this afternoon, i received a cute pair of woollen mittens (I love mittens) and a lovely note. It was a Β£5 recommended gift so no one has too much pressure to buy a more expensive gift.

I am doing one this year with a Β£10 spend but I normally just end up buying a gift set of some sort, I’m useless! Last year I got a bubble gum machine with bubble gum which I was over the moon with πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ I gave it straight to my nephew lol x
