What do you think of this?+20 points

Most of my shopping is online these days for speed and convenience. I think the councils need to carefully consider business rates and car parking charges if the high street is to survive. The only shops I tend to visit are Costa, local cafes and M&S.

i totally agree that they need to do something n quick for the remaining big shops like m&s and next john lewis is already struggling x its so sad x my friend wnet into our town today and came home rang me for a chat n said its so run down now lots of shops are empty x so so sad xx

I do shopping online mostly since it's a doddle.

I prefer to go out shopping, but this is getting harder with so many shops closing. I agree with Ceebers the crippling rents and business rates need to be addressed, local parking charges reviewed. I also believe the online side of High Street companies should not offer the best deals, I think these should be in store exclusives. Once people make a trip into the High Street generally they will visit and spend in other businesses as well.

Apart from going to the supermarket, we do all our shopping online. It is definitely more convenient for us now with the baby

We do ours almost entirely online; I'm not good at leaving the house. I'm going to try to get out into actual shops this year primarily because so much we order arrives damaged or not entirely what we expected. At least in a real shop you can physically see an item before you commit your money to it.

I guess we will always need hairdressers as we can't get that done online. it would be a shame to see shops disappear as I like a good browse
