So apparently this has been all over internet confusing people (not so hard it’s 2021)
So can you
If Teresa’s daughter is my daughters mother, what am I to Teresa
A) grandmother
B) mother
C) daughter
D) granddaughter
E) I am Teresa
That is the answer I arrived at too - I explained, below, how I got to that answer if you're interested...
If her daughter, is your daughter’s mum, and you’re obviously the mum of your daughter, you’ve got to be Teresa’s daughter, right?
not a clue too many daughters but whoever you are to her good luck you will work it out one day lmao
Shorten "my daughter's mother" to the "pronoun" of the one asking the question "ME " - If a female is asking the question "my mother's daughter" always means "ME or my sister" (no sister is mentioned)
It then becomes If Teresa's daughter is ME, what am I to Teresa?
It then becomes obvious that Teresa is her mother - so the one asking the question is Teresa's Daughter.
So the answer is C.
Hope I've got that right .
I fail to see how "Teresa" (E) can be the correct answer. Can you explain your arrival at that answer?
The question asked "What am I to Teresa?"
By my logic - the correct answer is "Daughter" (option C)
I've since checked online (several reliable sources) and found "Daughter" (option C) is the accepted answer. (using a method with similarities to my own being used).

Golfforall My logic seems backed up by many others - there are so many twists but the actual question eventually asked is: "what am I to Teresa?" The CORRECT answer is "Daughter" This (including the comments) might convince any other doubters.

I have provided many reliable sources to where the answer is "Daughter" can you provide even one where the answer is "Teresa"? (Teresa is the mother of the one asking the question - therefore the one asking the question is known to Teresa as DAUGHTER.

I will still argue that my answer DAUGHTER was CORRECT. Not because I think I'm always correct but because the actual question (obviously asked by a female) was "What am I to Teresa?" The preceding info was for no other purpose than to allow a logical answer to be arrived at.
The answer "Teresa" couldn't possibly have been correct - it wasn't even one of the options given. The nearest option; "I am Teresa" doesn't even make sense, grammatically, to the question asked.
(this type of puzzle - can make the brain hurt).
Let's start again using nothing more than LOGIC - and explaining more clearly... before starting remember that the answer options are there to arrive at a logical answer (there might be other logical answers but as they're not listed as an option they can be discounted).
So "my mother's daughter" if spoken by a female means ME. (answer options do not allow for a sister being involved).
So we arrive at this: "Teresa's daughter is ME" (Which could be phrased as "I am Teresa's Daughter" or even "Teresa is my mother" ) The person AKA "ME". Then asks "What am I to Teresa?" meaning "what relation am I to Teresa?"
As it's established that the one asking the question has Teresa as her mother - It should be obvious that "Teresa" has the female asking the question as her daughter.
So the only answer to "what am I to Teresa?" by the one asking the question is DAUGHTER.
So the answer TERESA is INCORRECT.

You are a woman ? for the purpose of logic , say your name is Teresa ? Who is your daughter's mother ? I'll let you work it out from there - no need to overthink or draw on the vast (often dodgy ) resources of Google .

Even Ann now agrees (it is NOT Teresa).

Don't feel too silly beccatavender - it is the type of question that is designed to attract the wrong answers. The actual correct answer is DAUGHTER. (C)

davidstockport I see nothing wrong with this topic and think there should be a lot more of this kind of topic on chat but also enjoy temel topics regularly and think he gets a raw deal from some members as for the riddle I’ve never been very good at them I’m afraid this one really scrambled whatever brains I do have
Mick82 You perhaps saw what emmabeckz said on a topic, before it was removed about what would happen, on other forums, to an individual "with a supposed telepathic gift" who goes to topics for nothing other than to disrupt, and to spread made up information about other members... I agree with her!
I am also beginning to agree even more with the saying that "a man is often judged by the company he keeps" although I do realise that many people actually believe what they're told by someone who doesn't realise that he may fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time.
Going back to your remark about seeing nothing wrong with this thread, which was directed at me, I hope nobody has thought by that remark that I do. I enjoy threads like this where people can disagree with each other in a civilised manner.

Your vibes are so innacurate you need to ignore them - my "logic" based on things that you've said is that with your "dodgy vibes" when you toss a coin they tell you whether it will land heads or tails with about a 25% accuracy.
I knew you tossed coins, something a friend (who is really psychic) said, after reading your comments, something to infer that - I might have been wrong about coins though, she might have meant pan-cakes.

I suspect most members have people to meet up with in the area they live in, and most, quite sensibly, aren't willing to disclose their whereabouts to you or other members. We're not all hard-up for real life friends.
