SMS Messaging Issues?

Over the last few days my SMS messages have been sending twice it's saying that they haven't been delivered yet my partner is getting them twice it's not happened before and I don't know why it's doing it has anyone else had this before?

Not sure if you’re using iphone but i had a similar problem a few years back and it was due to imessage. I think i just turned it off and then restarted my phone and it fixed it.

Jackscot oh no it's working fine on rcs chat but it's when I send a normal sms it has to the the network who are you with?

Jackscot I'm with sky that runs off O2 and I don't have a issue with RCS chat I only use it on my WiFi tho

Jackscot it shouldn't be happening either way have you turned your data on and off? To see if that helps and a lot of the time it might not send because the person your sending it to has no internet

Yeah it's been happening to my mother in law, saying not sent but we have been recieving them

Jackscot does it come up switch to sms when trying to send? If it does it's the person you are sending too they haven't got a signal to receive it

Jackscot if you do that please make sure everything is backed up if you have android phone do it to your email

Jackscot well I didn't lol and I broke my memory card gutted lost thousands of pics of my kids till someone told me about backing them up I didn't know you could do it

Yes that's quite common on Giffgaff and sometimes don't send but only realise an hour or so later

Something must be wrong with the networks in the U.K. because I receive 3 messages of the same thing!

I thought it might have been my phone malfunctioning, then I remembered this thread.
