Has Anyone Noticed Price Increases at Aldi and Other Stores?
Ask a Question
Noticed in Aldi and few other stores they put prices up with a I'm new on ticket but same packaging etc.
Anyone else noticed this ?
Aldi will need to change a lot of it's packaging soon as they have signed up to allow their products to have House crickets and larvae added, and the packaging will need to show this
Daffodil90 Unfortunately it is true, obviously you've been noticing the price increases on your every day shopping and the almost normalising of cheaper essential range foods, you will soon find that a lot of these item will have as they are allowed in flour and dried goods.
Imnotcheap Yes absolutely, they're definitely not the only ones who have signed up for this.
Would we eat half the food if we knew what was really in it though, I can spend all day looking for clothes but looking for what's in food unless I am on a certain diet doesn't cross most peoples mind.
iv noticed price increases at all supermarkets. a few years ago our food shop for two of us for the week was £35 now its nearer £70
In years gone by I used to notice when prices went up and ignore that product until it had gone back down to a reasonable price . These days everything seems to go up every couple of weeks (and not by a penny or two ) . Just have to grin and bear it !
Grocery inflation was 17% on the year to last month with "value" own brand products rising fastest ( up 23% ! ) . The good news is that inflation appears to have peaked so prices should now stabilise (albeit at a much higher level ) .
My kids love angel cake, before all the inflation it was easy to pick one up for under a £1 now their nearly £2 and the kippling angel slices which seemed extortionate before haven't got anymore expensive.
Shoppers are powerful. We must vote with our feet. I refuse point blank to pay for over priced poor quality goods. Less meat..more pulses. Home grown/made stuff etc and house alternatives.
Yes I've noticed and wondering if it's still the cheapest option but then again prices are going to rise everywhere
