Stock Cube or Gravy Granules?
Ask a Question
Has anyone tried to use a stock cube instead of gravy granules?
Or do you make your own gravy from scratch?

I use stock cubes, stock pots and gravy granules. Sometimes together if making a Sunday dinner I'll make my own gravy but if having a quick tea just use granules

I use stock cubes or stock pot jellies. I don't have the time to make my own gravy, but I should try it

Gravy granules for gravy (thickens up nicely without adding anything ) , Oxo or Bovril cubes for drinking . Can't beat a mug or flask of OXO or Bovril on a cold day , but too thin for gravy .

In the past Iβve used Bisto gravy powder and added a stock cube to give a bit more umph but gravy powder is becoming like gold dust, difficult to get hold of.

Imnotcheap ... Same with me,I use all 3 and I tend to use two out of the three-meat flavoured and maybe my stock cube-vegetable! Mmmmm.
I'm getting hungry now!!!!!
..

Gravy granules. Depending on what iβm making sometimes a stock cube in with it too or meat juices from a roast

MartinBluck I'm the same as you, it's so quick and easy to just add water and a dash of Worcester sauce! Delicious!

SAdeals Ooh I've never thought about adding Worcester Sauce, I'll give that a go

MartinBluck yeah you should try adding a dash of Worcester sauce. It gives it an instant lift. I won't be without it now

I prefer to supplement the natural meat juices with a stock cube. And I use chicken instead of beef because the beef cubes often taste too strong and salty.

Worcester sauce! I have to try it! I'm in love with it just now on toast with cheese

stock cubes for me. im gluten free and i hate paying the crazy price for a decent gravy (cheap ones dont taste nice at all) so i do stock cubes
