Stockpiling
Ask a Question
With everything thats currently going on, has anyone been stockpiling on items such as first aid products and toiletries?
No, I don't like to stockpile as I would never want to leave others without, which is what ends up happening.
I always have a little stockpile of things due to my disability incase i cant get out or get help to get shopping. Ive been ill for almost 6 years now so current events hasnt made any difference
I haven't been stockpiling, as such, but the last few months, every time I go shopping I have been picking up an Extra liquid soap, so now have 6. Plus Christmas is coming up so guaranteed that I will be given lots of toiletries as gifts. My husband and son are not that imaginative
Most of the food I buy is British sourced, some fresh products I buy like iceberg lettuces, tomatoes are often sourced from Europe and of course some of the processed food I buy which is made in the UK may have ingredients from Europe. I can afford to lose a few pounds anyway so I'm not worried or stockpiling I have plenty of reserve fat stores.
No. There’s no need. Despite whatever is being shared in the media, the stores are not crowded, and the shelves are not empty.
Nope. Even IF there does end up being a shortage of various items we are not likely to starve. Iv been to the supermarket today, there was no empty shelves or panic buying happening as far as I saw.
No never. Il never forget goikg to the supermarket at the shelves being bare. I only stock pile gin
No stockpiling shouldn't be happening. I noticed this morning that panic buying has started up again with the shower of **** that is brexit. Though they have been panic buying lettuce
I have never changed the amounts of anything i buy, i always have spares of most things but i feel that if everyone carried on as normal we would all get what we need no problem
The problem is caused by the headlines - 'has warned there will be shortages to UK' and all things similar. The only thing I have extra of is paracetamol and not toilet rolls!
I haven’t. I usually have a pantry for my foods and toiletries (separately ofc) so I never really run out. Nor am I afraid to run out again.
I haven't stock piled. I always have a good supply of things like pasta and rice in the house as it's something I buy every week anyway, same with nappies. My freezer is normally well stocked too and I always have tinned veg in the cupboard.
I've just seen on the news that Tesco might be capping people's spends so that they can't stockpile and so there isn't shortages like last time. I did my Christmas food shop on Monday and there was still plenty of stuff on all of the shelves.
I wouldn’t say stock pile. But staples like
Pasta. Bog roll. Chopped tomatoes. Tooth paste. Hand wash. Diluting juice. It’s something I’ve always done. Coz I used be shoite with money when I was young I never want to drink Capri sun and vodka again.
Omg no and I wouldn't I don't have the room to stockpile lol and honestly alot of people can't afford to do that I only get what I need
