Struggling with Gift Ideas during Lockdown!
Ask a Question
My step son turns 16 in two weeks and he’s been in lockdown since the end of March doing nothing so literally needs and wants nothing... I’m normally amazing at buying gifts but really struggling with knowing what to get people who can’t even leave the house!
What about an experience day? They can be kept until he can actually ued it and he can pick the experience himself as they are often in gift card format.
We actually have been buying him driving experiences but since Covid-19, our nearest centre has shut down (I’m assuming couldn’t afford to stay open) so we will have to travel 2 hours to use the 30 minute voucher we got him for Christmas
sarahgreen15 aww that sucks! Could you maybe try and sell it on, get some money back? Hope you find something for him.
An experience day could be a good idea, most companies do a voucher which gives the recipient lots of options so they can even choose themselves. Other than that maybe have their favourite breakfast (cooked breakfast, pancakes?) and have their favourite dinner and dessert and make it special in the small ways
How about buying some masks and poppers and deliver them to his friends. Set up a zoom meeting with these friends wearing the masks and when your stepson joins the meeting the friends pull on the poppers. It could be a birthday he will never forget.
You could make a joke of this one with him, sounds like he's down I agree with Pjran a zoom party. Make him a survival kit he his turning 16 a pack conforms some mints and dumpy bottle of Lager. Lift his spirits abit this lockdown been hard on all teenagers and can you imagine is zoom chat when he tells his friends or is snap streaks
