Student 18 Was Fighting for Her Life after Venomous 'False Widow' Spider Bite

In the News

The bite in the picture looks horrific , she was very lucky to survive

I think the spiders are getting bigger with the warmer weather, but sometimes they can be escaped pets

We’ve just installed some mesh over our windows with magnetic tape so we can have our windows open and not worry so much about the bugs coming in. I’m scared of spiders and these false widows are everywhere around our place.

Another tip is to put your plugs in place when you are not using the sink, they love to come up the waste pipe S, oh and check your underwear , you never know 😊 Image

Ouch. There is more down south and they have spread further across the country. My mates mum got bitten her hand when all sorts of colours. Luckily she didn’t have to fight for her life. Was just a bad bite.

I believe its worse in places like australia, they regularly appear under the toilet seat, or the dunny for the aussies , they have to check each time before using , and theirs are the deadly type

telmel oh they have the worlds worst venomous creatures. Sod that lol.

Didn’t they false ones come over by mistake then made their way from the ports? I know we have some scorpions living near buy some ports in the walls. I remember seeing a program on it. They used a uv light and they glow up in the dark. This was a while ago it’s possible they have died off ? But as far as I know the scorpions are still there but I don’t know if they have spread out ?
