Subscription Services
Ask a Question
Do you belong to any subscription services? Would you recommend any or would you total avoid?
I have Sky and Amazon Prime (student, of course )
Unfortunately, legally wise, I have to 'subscribe' to the BBC which is an absolute disgrace.
You don't have to, but if you want to watch BBC iPlayer and "Freeview" channels, then you gotta.
I'd say there are a lot of people who don't do either yet they pay the subscription/license because they're worried about being threatened. Sigh. Imnotcheap
Netflix and Kindle unlimited. I really like kindle unlimited as I read a lot, although not all books are included.
I have Amazon Prime and also Amazon music as I have an Alexa. Luckily, my daughter has added me to her Netflix account!
We have alexa but I just use the Amazon music that comes with prime and bought an odd album on it for me that's cheaper
Amazon prime, the dreaded tv licence, sometimes spotify&Netflix,I also like Disney+...will subscribe in November for mandolorian
We have sky, plus a personal offer £5 movie channels for 6 months x
Im with Amazon Prime and Netflix. I get Amazon Prime cheaper due to being a student which is great
My daughter is a student but I'd lose my cloud and movies/albums I've bought if we go over to hers
Sky, Netflix & Amazon Prime.
And I can still be heard moaning about there being nothing to watch.
Sky? Then you also pay for the TV License. That's like £157 a year.
You're right about not finding anything good to watch even though there's so much content.
I use Spotify, and would recommend it. I listen to a lot of podcasts and a lot of music on there so it’s worth it to me. I do both more than I watch TV, so I suppose it’s my alternative to a TV package.
I usually just go on YouTube and it's got what I want to watch, but with ads, yeah. There are the occasional free trials so I don't mind accepting them.
What those trials are hoping for is that you stick around, or forget you're using and then get charged for it.
Used to be Netflix but now I am with Prime as it has a couple of good series I like watching
