Taking Your Dog to Work

Ask a Question

Should you be able to take your dog to work with you?

I've heard of offices letting you taking your dog in (and that saves them being left home all day too) and there's a local school where a couple of the teachers take theirs in and they are called the 'school dogs'

I have heard of this but really don’t think it’s fair on the dog in certain situations. If if goes to an office it can’t run around and has to wait to be taken out when the owner is on a break. If you haven’t got time for a dog, don’t get one.

I went to this place where they had a dog in the office .. luckily my fear of dogs has gone down a lot compared to before otherwise a dog coming up to you out of nowhere may give a startle.

I guess it depends on a case by case basis. My local vet takes her dog into work with her and that obviously makes sense. However offices etc I’m not so sure and it’s not really fair if someone doesn’t really like dogs

I would love to work in such an office. I have not yet had the opportunity but I’ve visited some where people have their dogs or cats with them, and usually it’s a warmer, more welcoming office
