Teacher Who Delivered Lockdown Meals Collects MBE

In the News

I remember during lockdown he was delivering free school meals on foot in Grimsby, to ensure that they had a meal and also to check they were OK. A well deserved honour

He always came across as a very modest man, who cared about his school.

Some probably found it disturbing to see a middle aged man dressed as a little girl.

It's always great for folks to share food with those in need, but be careful.

Love to hear a good news story. Zane Powles better known as Mr Powles to his pupils a former Grenadier Guardsman said he had delivered 15000 meals.

I want to post this headline,"Head refuses to feed kids more than 1p in debt to school" To show the difference in attitude

Image

No understanding of the parents financial situation or the embarrassment to the child concerned.
