Things I Persistently Forget to Do at the Supermarket

Other

I have lost count of the times I have arrived to do my shopping only to find I have no change for the car park or trolley, I have even had to go home without the groceries!

Even if I get my parking ticket I often forget to hand it over at the till to get the Β£1.50 back, or even worse I find my money off coupons in my purse/bag/pocket when I get home. So much to remember these days, and enough just to use my phone app to ensure I get my points lol. I do try not to get old but I am losing the battleπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

We were shopping in Waitrose the other day and I used the self scan which in my opinion is wonderful. So pleased everything was going so well, no queues, complete recall of products that we forgot to scan our coupons.

Pjran I have never used self scan and often used to forget to use coupons. But I now have the nectar app on my phone and have to scan it which is good as all coupons are already loaded on it.

mag2022 yep done that too but now as soon as I put my shopping away I take the empty bags out to the car and place on the passenger seat. Mind you, I have still managed to get inside the store without them and had to go back to the car!!

Ha ha sounds just like me, I write a list of things to get and do and more often than not get to the shops to find I've left my list on the kitchen worktop. So annoying if I have a money off voucher and forget to use it πŸ˜€ .

HEDGEHOGS I must admit that is one thing I have overcome now as I have a notebook always in my handbag and write my shopping list whenever I think of something and then put it straight back. But I have done it in the past!

If I may add one more thing to your list it's to compare prices first using our supermarket price comparison tool. I'm consistently surprised to find that the cheapest supermarkets (aldi and lidl) are very often not the cheapest for lots of things.

Tom I must definitely start doing this as I am sure I often pay over the odds.

Howmuch I can definitely relate to that, supermarkets are like a land of lost souls, I wander around in a trance 😡

My husband has just done some supermarket shopping, I gave him a list plus an Β£8 off Β£40. They didn’t have a couple of items and he didn’t choose replacements. He therefore didn’t reach the Β£40 so couldn’t use the Β£40. Men!

I will sometimes forgot to pick something up if it isn't on the shopping list and I will immediately remember the minute I get home. I always make sure that I have a pound coin for the trolley.

MrsCraig recently I visited a charity shop and bought two of those charity trolley coins that you attach to your keyring. It has been so handy as now I only have to worry about the car park fee😊
