Thunderstorms - Love Em or Hate Em?
In the News
Two yellow warnings have been issued by the met office for South West England and Wales over night. How do you feel about thunderstorms? Do you take special measure to protect nervous pets? Are you a 'not bothered' person or are you more likely to stand watching the lightening from your window?
I don’t have pets and live fairly near the sea so look out and watch them. Only thing I don’t like is if directly overhead and very loud bang thunder or likely to be struck by lightning around the house and garden. Sick of the amount of rain we are still getting at the moment too.
I love a good thunderstorm. I’m a country girl and live out in the sticks so it’s often paired with power cuts which is a pain but there’s nothing better than being wrapped up in a duvet window open listening to a thunderstorm
They don't bother me. I grew up in the country so got used to them. They never bothered our dog either and I don't think our son even notices them!
They don't bother me or our dog, my mum would turn everything off, unplug Ariel cable and make us sit on the stairs when we were kids lol
Not a fan of them to be honest. Had pets who hated them think that's why I'm not a fan as I've spent years trying to sort them out
It’s fine if I’m indoors, as sometimes it’s quite therapeutic to watch. But, I definitely do not enjoy being out in the rain, in any shape or form
They don't bother my 13year old dog at all and l absolutely love them, l live by the sea and love watching the lightning and waiting for a thunder clap and watching hailstones hammering down, l find it fascinating to watch and listen too and also looking for a rainbow when the sun comes out after the storm
I love thunder and lightning but my partner. Wife Hates them so does one of my daughters they hide
I love a good storm and love to watch the lightening. My house rabbit on the other hand is not a fan and thumps back to the thunder, I usually have to put on some music to keep him happy during a storm
I really love a thunderstorm especially one in the warmer months. The cats don’t like them though which isn’t great
I hate them. The sound and light scares the hell out of me and I've never gotten used to it.
There was one not too long ago that sounded extremely powerful, but I was asleep so I just kept sleeping while ignoring it much as I could.
