What Are Your Top Batch Cooking Tips
Other
I’ve recently started batch cooking meals but I’m pretty new to it what are your tops tips for batch cooking recipes you swear by etc. Thank you
My wife and i are on slimming world so we batch cook - curry, spag bol, lasagne, chilli etc
We buy use the same mix for spag bol, chilli and lasagne (just add kidney beans and a bit of chilli powder for the chilli)
I don't just do it once a week , every time I make a meal I just treble the recipe and freeze what we don't eat. Make sure you lable stuff so you know what to eat first. And shop around for ingredients so you can buy more for less. Hope this helps a little.
I use those trays with lids. Prepare the meals. Shove them in the stackable containers for the fridge or freezer. Really useful.
I do same and start with a mass like 6 -12 litres of proper tomato sauce with onions garlic carrots etc then use this to make lasagne chilli spag bol homemade pizza and casseroles/stews/soup all get portioned into 2-6 meal portions labelled and stashed in the freezer. I can then make a homemade pizza is 4 minutes- great when youve had a cocktail too many or an extra guest for dinner!!!
