Treating Yourself/ Self Care Ideas!
Ask a Question
Ive been looking to spend tomorrow treating myself with a bit of self care. Ive got face masks (the beauty version) in mind and also finally doing my nails!
Ive been lacking motivation to treat myself, mainly due to laziness.
If you treat yourself once in a while, what do you do?
Lynibis Thanks! honestly I don’t remember the last time I sat in my bath tub -got used to the showers! Might make effort to relax in my bath tub tomorrow..
MsLamboLova12 when I get out I further 'self care' by moisturising all over, give myself a bit of a pedicure. I also give my hair a treat with some coconut oil as even though I am getting on a bit my hair is extremely thick and frizzy but the oil seems to tame it.
Lynibis Ive been applying oil to my hair for a good 3-4 hours before a shower and it does wonders to my hair. It makes my hair soft, which is also thick and frizzy!
I buy myself the shills peel off face mask. It is black and sticky when it goes on but after you peel it off you notice a great difference in your skin. It does state on the tubes that it’s best you steam your face first to open up the pores. A slight word of warning though as some people face discomfort whilst pulling it off as it literally pulls off any hair on your face at the same time.
LeighReidAtanas I have a peel off face mask that I tried a couple of months ago and it was really good on the skin - felt really soft afterwards (maybe because it took some hairs off at the same time!). I am hoping to use a destress sheet mask (although not sure if it actually destresses you)!
MsLamboLova12 let me know how you get on with that! Which one did you opt for?
LeighReidAtanas I have the Simple de-stress sheet masks - I am actually a Simple product hoarder as it works really well with my skin. I'll let you know how it goes once I try it tomorrow!
MsLamboLova12 great! I use the simple soap as it’s fragrance free due to sensitive skin their products are amazing!
I can't remember the last time I did some self care or treated myself but I know it was well before my son was born so probably about 2 and a half years ago if not longer! But I used to do a face mask, have a bath with lots of bubbles, some music and candles, nice body butter on afterwards and then do my nails. I no longer have the time to do even one of those things!
MrsCraig Wow that is a while ago! Thanks for the ideas! Hopefully you get some time once your son is slightly older or he’s at preschool to pamper yourself! Maybe try sneaking in one of those activities whilst he’s napping!
MsLamboLova12 unfortunately I've got too much other stuff to do whilst he is napping. Tbh I don't actually miss pampering myself, I only did it on a Sunday night because my husbands programme was on and I didn't like it so it was a way to kill some time before bed.
MrsCraig Fair enough! I will shortly be starting on my nails (only pampering Ive managed to do today)
I always deal with the feet at the same time as the face. I choose my favourite face mask then organise a bowl with some luxury soak. I don't think any of us give our feet the attention they deserve and most of us shower more than bathe so this is a session that feels like a proper pamper. Enjoy your treats.
angemski Thanks! You’re right I hadn’t thought about my feet Maybe I’ll slot them in next Sunday!
linby Ooo hair mask is a good one -haven’t tried one before as I mainly stick to oil but might try this soon!
