Have You Tried Uber One? (Uber Eats Premium)

Ask a Question

Hey, has anyone tried Uber One?

It's the equivalent of Deliveroo Plus for Uber Eats.

Features

Uber One - If you order from Uber Eats often, you can get a 1 month free trial of Uber One (£5.99/mo after) which gives you:

- £0 delivery fee on eligible food, groceries and more

- 5% off eligible deliveries and pick-up orders

- 5-10% off eligible trips

I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and has a review, or would recommend?

I have tried it, for free on a trial and continued for a couple of months, and then another free trial with O2. If you have takeaways I think this is worth it and feel it's better than deliveroos option as min spend to get free delivery is cheaper.

ch7leach Thank you for the feedback that's good to hear. May I ask how often you get a take out? I'm wondering how much you have to use it for it to be worth it.

Tom I use it far to often....... Waaaaay to often. But if you do use things like this I would say it would pay for itself after 2-3 orders (if spending over £15 a time), you will then start saving money. So if you order once a week it should be worth while doing. The £6 a month I think is a reasonable price, you can also use this along side other promotions they send out so 25% off etc and also with restaurant promos. Recently for work I managed to get 4 meals (KFC style burgers) waffle fries, onion rings, drinks (they were large meals too!) For about £20 delivered and cooked.

I got the offer but didn't take it up. Tbh iv stopped using Uber & stick to justeat or deliveroo. The prices for the same restaurants are more expensive on uber now than the other apps. At least where we order from in our area.

Glitterandgold That's interesting! I used to find Deliveroo was the most expensive. Have you tried FoodHub? It's a lesser known one that seems quite a bit cheaper because it doesn't charge restaurants fees.

Tom food Hub is a lot cheaper and less fees but in my area very few restaurants and most of those tend to be kebab shops and rather nasty Indian takeaways. Just eat I find expensive compared to the others and tracking is rubbish, deliveroo more restaurants and expensive fees and delivery, but I have the deliveroo plus from Amazon so that helps. Currently Uber with the offer they have can work out cheaper despite higher prices overall.

Tom For instance when I apply our regular order to both justeats & uber, Uber is nearly £8 more expensive for the exact same order/same local restaurant 🤷‍♀️ £2.99 of that is a service charge on top of delivery.

Iv never used foodhub or heard of it but having just looked it up our local is on there so I'll be looking next time to compare prices there too. Thanks for that.

Sadly we can't even get uber eats in our area, I think they cater more to the towns and cities?!
