I cook a large turkey crown with all the trimmings on Christmas Day and we have the leftover turkey and gammon with bubble and squeak/mash on Boxing day. A couple of years ago I dared to suggest a change to goose or beef and it was like a mutiny!!!

We have turkey and ham. There is only two of us and the dog, but we buy a small ham joint and a turkey crown. The rest is then used over the next few days in sandwiches and for dinner.

Would go with ham instead, but not the sliced up ham.

This "ham" which in English it has no official title:

Some companies have tried to go with these names: Jamón, Serrano, Ham, Jamón Ibérico (actual Spanish name of it) and Smoked Ham. 'Jamón' is the Spanish name, 'Presunto' is the Portuguese name of this delicious meat.

It's kinda funny they can't stick to one and go with it, or an original creative title.

By the way, 'Ibérico' (Iberian) implies Iberian countries they are Portugal, Spain, Andorra (a micro-country between Spain and France) and a tiny chunk of France.

I have heard that big joints of ham are supposed to hang rather than be put in the fridge. But I've never had one that big! My husband makes the Christmas dinner and it is always amazing! He always says it isn't as good as his mums, but she is a professional chef, so she has an unfair advantage!

I’ll have it all! No point in just trying to pick one - you’ve got all day to eat, as there’s nothing else to do, so might as well stuff yourself silly! We a

so have belly pork too

We’re only a small family but we always have at least 2 meats because we can’t decide! It’s always turkey & something else!
