What Type of Present Would Women Prefer?
Ask a Question
If your friend or sister in law was buying you a small present for around £5, would you prefer jewellery, chocolate, cosmetics or something else (if so, what?) (flowers or wine not an option).
I'm really easy to please so I'm happy with anything, except alcohol as I don't drink and it would end up being given to my mum.
Would love a book, candles, photoframe, novelty socks, letting, teddy bear, meaningful quote card, phone case, voucher, top.
I'm just happy that someone has thought to buy me something and spent their hard earned money on me.
Probably a candle or chocolates... or bubble bath.. cosmetics would be difficult because everyone has unique taste in make up and theres not a huge amount of choice for £5... I would also be fussy with jewellery, because it wouldn’t be very good quality at the £5 mark...
Jewellery is very personal, a friend bought me a piece of costume jewellery from Laura Ashley and I returned it. I chose a purse instead. Have you considered a pen? I carry a lovely Ted Baker one in my handbag everyday. Chocolates are always acceptable.
I would prefer a quality shower gel or bubble bath, it would certainly last longer than chocolates.
Alternatively fill socks with mini chocolate bars
Id prefer a little bag of munchies like a choclate bar, some crisps, a pack of sweets etc. I dont think someone would be able to get any cosmetics that i use or jewellery for a £5.
Jewellery or cosmetics as a choice is pretty personal so, unless the giver knows the receiver's preferences it's a risk. If the receiver is on a diet being given chocolates would be so annoying. Most of us use cosmetics and need storage so I would always appreciate a new make-up bag or a quality make up brush. Failing that a Boots voucher should please anyone.
I would think either chocolates or a bath bomb or similar would be best. You're better to buy a more expensive chocolate or similar, rather than buying a cheap cosmetic product.
I would prefer something I could keep like a cheap necklace. I remember my kids brought me a mum ring for mother's Day , I loved it so much I wore it everyday even though it turned my finger green lol.
