What Do You Do with Unwanted Gifts ?

I believe its your choice. You could regift them and the money that you have saved on buying someone somthing you could treat yourself c

It is very rare that I get a gift that I won't use. If I did then I would regift it to someone who I know would use it. It has been years since I got something I didn't want as a gift.

I’ve regifted unwanted presents but only to people who don’t know each other. Also given some as raffle prizes and a couple from my mother in law after several years went in the bin

I use all my gifts or give stuff to my granddaughter just make sure you don't regift it to the person who gave you it lol

I do regift things that I won't use but it's frustrating when I get a gift from a family member or friend that I know I won't use, I always think they don't know me at all .

Lol I keep them for some of my friends presents I just make sure I'm not giving them to the person who got me them in the first place

I once regift a present (perfume, of course) to someone far away from where I lived, and she "found out" who had given it to me!

It's very rare but I have and will do a few things:

- Donate (to charity shops, food banks will take lotions and things, Christmas appeals, school fates etc.)

- Sell the gift

- Regift it to someone who would use it

- Put it on a site for someone who would appreciate it (OLIO app, Freecycle, Freegle etc.)

I have re-gifted presents in past years. Usually to my Auntie or sister-in-law from my son or passed them on to my mum who has given to her friend or as a prize in a raffle they have on the transport she uses

I have re-gifted gifts, I haven't got a bath so lots of bath oils/ bubble baths are put away for gifts, I also donate as raffle prizes. If you know someone else will have a use, enjoy the gift, it's better than them sitting in a cupboard gathering dust.

I usually just regift or sell on my local Facebook marketplace

Absolutely regift it or sell it. There's no point holding onto something you don't like or need and it going to waste.

I’m the worst when it comes to unwanted gifts which is usually smelly stuff I don’t like. I end up keeping it for a while and then offer it to my mum. If she doesn’t want it then it goes in the bin however having said that I live in a small village that has a WhatsApp group and I’ve started offering people on that these items

I’ll either regift any gifts I won’t use or give them to local charity’s to use as raffle prizes. Most gifts I get are chocolate related…. I always find a ‘use’ for those kinds of gifts

When this was last discussed on here I commented that I have no problem whatsoever with regifting. There may be some gift givers who would be upset to think you have passed on something they gave you but look at it this way. Would the giver prefer that you stick it in a cupboard somewhere and years later it hasn't seen the light of day, or would they prefer you pass it on to someone who would use it thereby saving yourself some money which would then replace the gift you couldn't use.

Personally I would have no problem with someone regifting a present I have given them, I know that I don't always get it right as some folk are really hard to buy for. If they give it to someone else I feel that I have saved them some money.

It was my birthday on Friday and I got quite a few gifts I will not use and will just collect dust. I got a coin purse and I have put it on vinted

I tend to regift it but just make sure not to the same person ofc. or anyone close to them.

If you know somebody that would use it I would give to them first, if nobody wanted it I would donate.

I was once re gifted an aromatherapy floating candle gift set for my birthday by someone called Kim, the label attached to the gift set itself said "dear Kim happy Christmas love mum and dad" that was 20 years ago and I still remember it always check for inner / unexpected labels when re gifting

I keep gift bags to re use and when storing them I leave the label on it so when I re use it I can check I'm not giving it back to the same person, I put the present inside and remove the label, my best friend knows I do this and actually leaves the label blank for me

I normally save them in a box and donate them when my local animal charity are looking for prizes for fundraising events. I would recycle them but i can never remember who they are from and i always forget to right a list. Last year we got lots of chocolates / biscuits from our kind family , friends and neighbours that we donated to the foodbank.

I regift whenever I can, as it’ll save me from buying more things as gifts
