Do You Use Your Local Liabary

A lot of libraries now have what they call open access where you can let your self in and pick your books and check them out and you can even renew your return date via there website. Also you can return the books via the letter box so they are almost 24 hrs now

Also some do lego clubs for the children to play and build with lego

Only when I had younger children, not a big non fiction reader. I always find it hard to be quiet for any amount of time.

I do use them but very rarely, I occasionally go in to read reference books but I don't borrow books currently but I keep meaning to sort that out and start borrowing again. I keep buying books that just hang about in the house. Reference books that I want to refer to later is ok but for novels I should just borrow them.

Only for using the toilet when I was working for the council.

I went into my local library today (opens Tues, Thurs and Sat only) and got a free monthly newspaper. It also has a toilet open to the public!! new books, a medium size children department, and 8 computers (always pre-booked) for adults and 8 for children. The books for sale (good quality, no longer needed) cost only 20 pence each. I usually go there once a month.

I've just started going again as they do events like Rhyme time and Story time for children.

I rarely go to our local library but do sometimes use the magazine subscription to read free online.

I tried to make an appointment to go into my local library after the second lockdown, but they told me no one had been taking anything out for quite some time and they were overbooked.

Our local library is in the back of the local Co-op. I can't say I have used it though because since covid I have been put off second hand books and the transference of germs. (I also have so many books of my own, probably over 1,000 many of which I like to reread)

I haven’t been to my local library for years I have to admit and sadly it is being forced to close due to lack of use. I feel a bit guilty that I stopped making time to go. I love going when I was a lot younger.

My local library is literally at the bottom of my garden but have not used it since the children where at school over five years ago.

I used to visit the library once or twice a week when I was younger as we didn't have a laptop or computer in the house so the last time I went must have been at least a decade ago! I did go in to use the printer however they're still cash only and I don't carry it

I haven't been to the library for a few years now, unless the primary school library for bookbugs counts. I haven't taken a book out of the library for years. My granny uses the library quite often.

I take my three children they love the library. Ours also do a lego morning on a Saturday which they love going to.

Yes and I am very delighted that it's still there and hope it will remain a library. It provides great service.

We go every two weeks and the kids take out a few books. Our library has a children's area with a rocking horse and a few toys. My son really enjoys reading so it allows him lots of choice, I think it's a great place to encourage children to read and appreciate books. It also great for parents as it doesn't cost anything.

When I was around 14. I'm 24 now. I was home schooled but what ride my bike to the library to learn literature with one of my tutors. Very peaceful!

Yes I use mine several times a week, they are very helpful. There's a housing office, job shop and post office in my local library. A job advisor helped with my CV and I could use the computers to apply for Jobs online. My local also has kids club where they will have toddlers in a couple of times a week on a morning and they will spend an hour singing nursery rhymes and meeting other kids.

Yeah I go to a weekly adult colouring group at my local library and check out the newly released books when I go there too

No! Because it is only open during working hours and the council doesn't reply when I question it.

We used to go 2 or 3 times a week before lockdown. But now we rarely go to the library. We choose the books online and I go and pick them up when their in school.

I dont use the library for books but i have been there for Tai Chi classes which were super Benefical and cost me just £5 for an hour session as it was a community donation not a commecial set up.

Used to visit much more often and fought for them to stay open so I really need to pull my finger out and go more often, also to update my membership. They have so much more on offer now as well, not lastly free newspaper subscriptions I believe.
