Varicose Veins

Ask a Question

Has anyone got some advice on varicose veins? I already wear compression socks every other day. Try to keep my legs elevated for a bit everyday. But I feel with pregnancy it got much worse. Gps dont care unless it hurts badly, bleeds etc. What else could I do trying fo prevent it from getting it worse?

I’m afraid I’m not going to be very helpful. Mine were bad during my second pregnancy and after I gave birth i had them removed on the understanding I would have no more children. I then went on and had two more children. My veins are ok although I have some pains now and again and I haven’t got the prettiest legs. The scars are very small.

eyeballkerry they dont operate unless its really bad. Also I been told it can come back... my left leg is worse than right. It kinda started to get a bit lumpy in places🙁I was looking at getting it done privately.. but it's like nearly £2,000 per leg😯?!...

Unless you laser remove them I don't think anything helps. Other than standing for long periods of time.

Sorry to hear that. My mum has suffered since pregnancy and they never went away. She’s suffered all sorts of clots and ulcers over the years. You just have to keep wearing the stockings, keep the legs elevated and not put too much pressure on the legs
