Is Virtual Hunting a Good Idea?

Ask a Question

A new bar in London has opened, and it has it’s own virtual shooting range

https://www.macandwild.com/mac-wild-devonshire-square/falls-of-shin-2/shooting-range

however ‘fun’ it may be, it has received a lot of criticism for being ‘psychopathic’

it‘s certainly not my idea of fun, but as it’s marketed towards ‘corporate events/parties’, I can see why hunting is considered fun for the clientele they’re aiming for

What do you think of this?

I suppose it's better than the real thing and no worse than shoot em up video games or even paint balling.

The trouble is no one has a moral code or social conscience any more so if someone can make a buck from something that latches on to our baser instincts they will do so.

I agree. The kind of video games available are shocking. I remember when grand theft auto came out and it was beyond the kind of video games I used to play. I think making things look real and applying to real situations is dangerous - they say people are having more social issues these days...I wonder why
