Voucher Codes Confusion ...
Ask a Question
This isn't a complaint ... more a plea for help in 'getting' it ... . I can't grasp the reasoning behind why a voucher code for a specific item eg 'Save £24 on a coat' isn't acceptable as a code but IS a deal. I am aware that it's a rule but I like to understand. If it was user-specific then I would understand.... I think .... I know it must sound as tho I have too much thinking time here
I used to be confused by it too and got pulled up on more than one occasion. The guidelines have been made much more clear lately. Have a look. Hope it helps.
The title should include the discount/offer and what it applies to (e.g. "£5 off orders over £30 at B&Q")
Vouchers should apply to more than one product (e.g. site-wide or a particular range of products). If a voucher only works with one specific product or service please share it as a deal instead.
If a voucher code isn't required please share it as a deal instead (e.g. Automatic 20% off everything at Argos)
If available, please set the expiration date of the voucher.
Please include any relevant terms and conditions in the description.
Edit to this BORDERJOE- it also stops members collecting their three deals a day and then adding another into the voucher section for a single product which would be unfair.
Thanks for that ... my family say I've become like a dog with a bone ... they're right I guess .... but I want to understand why? .... maybe I'm just in a stubborn mood ... I feel better that it's 'not just me' tho.
